Mail.app: MacOSX 10.5 "Leopard" fixes
We have found that Mail.app in MacOS 10.5 no longer will connect via SSL to SMTP servers that do
not have a valid, signed SSL certificate. This should not be a problem for the majority of our servers, as we do normally install an SSL certificate for email. However, customers may still have problems if they do not specify the host as the same host that is present in the certificate. Please note that if you are connecting to 'mail.yourdomain.com' and are receiving errors in Mail.app, you may need to change the host to the servername of our server (galadriel.grokthis.net, gimli.grokthis.net, etc).
We are in the process of double-checking our configuration on our email servers. Please contact us if you are experiencing any problems sending email from Leopard's new Mail.app.
New Server: vps008
We have deployed a new server, vps008, a dual quad-core AMD Opteron. Fitted with 16GB of ram, with planned expansion to 32GB, this server can fit up to 496 VPS 'slots'.
Additional datacenter capacity
We have deployed additional capacity in our PHL2 datacenter. It is likely that we will be soon offering renewed dedicated server offerings to celebrate this new growth.
